Viswa Sadasivan is a respected corporate strategy advisor having worked with governments, international organisations and multinational corporations over the past 2 decades. Public policy, media engagement and crisis/risk management are his forte. He has served on the boards of several government agencies in Singapore, as well as on national committees such as Economic Review Committee. On the international front, Viswa serves on the board of Paris based Association for Accountability and Internet Democracy (AAID), and has chaired major forums such as the UNESCO Conference on Persons with Disability, and the St Gallen Symposium (Zurich). He gained prominence as a Nominated Member of Parliament (Singapore) in the late 2000s. Viswa holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Suryo Sulisto is a member of SIXCAP Global Advisory Board and a leading Indonesian businessman and entrepreneur. After gaining an MBA from Washington International University, he returned to Indonesia in the early 1970s and started SATMARINDO, a shipping and marine services company providing offshore construction services to oil companies exploring in the Java Sea. Satmarindo became one of the largest fleet owners in South East Asia. The Satmarindo Group now has expanded into areas such as property, coal mining, resort development and retail operations.
Suryo has held distinguished positions such as Special Envoy of the President of Indonesia to North America and Latin America, Chairman of KADIN Indonesia and Board member of Jamsostek (Indonesia’s largest pension fund). As an Eisenhower Fellow, Suryo had also served on the Board of Trustees of the Eisenhower Fellowship together with President George Bush Sr.
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is the Chairperson and founder of Biocon, India’s and Asia’s largest global biotechnology company. Under her leadership, Biocon currently specialises in the areas of diabetes, oncology and auto-immune illnesses, and the company is Asia’s largest insulin provider. Kiran is a strong believer in affordable and accessible healthcare, especially for poorer population groups.
She is recognised as a global thought leader in biotechnology, and has received several international awards and distinctions including the Othmer Gold Medal for outstanding contributions to the progress of Science and Chemistry. Kiran is also cited by the Financial Times as one of the world’s top 50 global business women, and by Forbes as one of the 100 most powerful women in the world. The World Economic Forum has given her their prestigious Technology Pioneer award.
Kiran set up the Biocon Foundation to focus on “compassionate capitalism”, applying new business models to create sustainable social progress. She has been awarded honorary doctorates by the universities of Abertay, Glasgow and Trinity College Dublin, and recently became the first woman to head the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management. She is also an independent Board Director of Infosys, one of India’s leading IT companies.
Patrick Teng began his Foreign Exchange dealing career in 1981. While still in his twenties, Patrick was appointed Vice-President and Chief Dealer of Chase Manhattan bank, one of the youngest chief dealers in Singapore. He then went on to become VP Treasury for UBS in Tokyo, actively trading across the whole of Asia Pacific – one of the world’s largest FX markets.
As Patrick advanced his trading career, he also served on a subcommittee of the Singapore Foreign Exchange Market Committee, which was responsible for the ambitious goal of growing the country’s treasury market. The committee’s aims included opening lines of communication between market participants and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Patrick founded Six Capital in 2009 with a vision to train and educate a new generation of currency traders, empowering both aspiring traders and investors. Yin Chong started his career as an Execution Dealer for a private Japanese fund just after graduating from Singapore Management University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. His acumen in the financial markets and his innate skills for creative and innovative problem solving were solidly displayed in that role, which was part of a competitive exchange program.
He joined Six Capital as a Management Associate in 2010, but his natural ability for innovative and strategic planning together with his drive and determination saw him fast-tracked to an Executive position very early on in his career.
With a proven record of delivering results in challenging times, Yin Chong has built an impressive reputation within the market and is credited for developing the curriculum from which all the Group’s traders are now taught. He is widely regarded as a leading expert in the Price Acton Trading (PAT) technique.
Vish joined Sixcap in 2011 and presently heads the finance operations for the group. He is a Chartered Accountant from India and has over 2 decades of management experience in multinationals like British Petroleum and Olam International.
As the Co-founder, Chief Innovation Officer & TAGG Gamemaster, Paul is responsible for shaping the business model and strategy of the company. Together with his team, Paul oversees digital and social marketing strategy, as well as the creative direction of the company and its various initiatives. Within minutes of a conversation with Paul, you would realise that he is a proud and avid gamer. As the Gamemaster behind TAGG, a sci-fi strategy game prototype that seeks to enable gamers to earn as they play, Paul believes that games have the potential to be so much more than just entertainment.
Paul graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia, with a Bachelor of Arts (Criminology) in 2011. Ranked Captain in the Singapore Air Force, he was awarded the SAF Academic Scholarship and, on graduation, the Sword of Merit.
A highly-driven individual, CY has nearly 20 years of experience as a practicing lawyer providing comprehensive legal services for leading law firms throughout the Asia Pacific Region. As an accomplished and skilled lawyer, CY was involved in several specialist projects in Hong Kong, Singapore and China where his broad experience in strategic negotiation and representation enhanced his reputation for delivering effective counsel.
CY’s career culminated in his appointment as head of the major projects practice at one of the largest, most prestigious law firms in South East Asia. His business acumen and commercial awareness led to continued success of several diverse initiatives.
George’s career spans both top executive and advisory positions in business and higher education, with significant experience in Indonesia. He is a key representative of Six Capital’s interests and future in Indonesia. George has served as Rector of a private university, and is currently the Vice Chairman of the Indonesia Private Higher Education Stakeholder Council. He maintains a key liaison position on behalf of Six Capital with the Rector and top officials of Universitas Gadjah Mada, to ensure successful joint execution of key initiatives on creating the Digital Economy for Indonesia.
George has significant international business and financial experience, particularly through his successful experience as the Investment Promotion Adviser to the International Finance Corporation in the World Bank Group. He is currently a member of the Board of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), and the Indonesia Employers Association.
